John teaches the drawing & painting and portfolio classes for students 14 and older. These classes meet various times during the week and consist of a mixed group of students. In John's drawing & painting classes you can get one on one instruction for drawing and/or painting media. This includes, oil paints, acrylics, charcoal, and pencils. His teaching specialty is training high school students for art college. This entails extensive portfolio analysis and development. If you are interested in going to College for art, you should seriously consider studying with John at The Art Spot.

Instructor: Barbara Lessard

Fiber | Drawing | Children's Instruction

Barbara Lessard is a certified fine arts instructor for the State of Connecticut. Her main medium is fiber. Barbara creates beautiful original silk paintings that exhibit an incredible range of color and intensity. Much of her artwork is wearable, such as her silk scarves. Many of these beautiful works of art use the batik method. With a Master's Degree in Art Education and her indelable patience with children, Barbara instructs The ART Spot's children's classes year round.
